Our 2002 Mission Trip to El Salvador

With the addition of Pastor Ana to our staff in 2001, our mission horizons were expanded. With Pastor Ana comes a wealth of global experience and knowledge. She spent many years in Latin America as a teacher and later as an ordained Clergyperson. Wanting to broaden our understanding of the church world wide and other cultures, Pastor Ana organized a trip to El Salvador. It was a working and educational trip. The group, under Dr. Diego Escabosa and nurse Jan Woods ministered to many many children. The group painted and slept on the floor of the church to the sound of gunfire in the background. It indeed was a life changing event for many people.

Later in the trip Pastor Tom joined them and we helped celebrate the birthday of the Lutheran Church in El Salvador.
