Our mission, vision
and goals.
As beloved children of God sustained by the Holy Spirit, we are called together to be the hands and heart of Jesus for one another, for our community and for the world — we will:
WELCOME ALL Invite others to encounter Jesus in worship that is joy filled, musically diverse, and rooted in Scripture.
LOVE AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER Provide opportunities to deepen our relationships with one another.
SERVE THOSE IN NEED Engage community members and leaders to discern current needs.
GROW IN THE SPIRIT Increase ministry opportunities with youth and families.
Our Council
The Church Council has general oversight of the life and activities of our congregation, guiding us in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our Council members help us set prioritized long-range milestones toward achieving Gloria Dei!’s mission, vision and goals.
Engagement Opportunities
We are blessed with the talents and devotion of many volunteer members helping through altar guild, social justice work, worship leadership, youth ministry, bible study, fellowship and many other ways.
Tom Williamsen
Pastor EmeritusIn 2016, we held special worship services to celebrate the lifetime ministry of retired Pastor Thomas P. Willamsen. At that time, we were honored to give him the title of Pastor Emeritus, in keeping with the long standing traditions set by the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Tom faithfully, effectively and lovingly served Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church for over 33 years.
